The image of the World Map shown above is made to understand the location and names of countries in general. The image of the world map or the pdf version of it can be used for free by anyone. On this map, there may be mistakes in some very delicate matter. There is, of course, some distortion of the geographical features of how the map is made to represent circular earth on a flat map. Therefore, Infoandopinion will have no responsibility in the authenticity of this world map.

The Earth is 71% water and 29% land. Billions of years ago, the seven continents of the world were a single giant region called Pangaea.

Over time, the tectonic plates break and gradually dissociate. Research shows that Europe and North America are still changing at 7cm every year. The total land area of the Earth is made up of seven continents of various sizes. Some are interconnected and some are isolated.  In all of them, different countries have been formed.

Although there is only one global ocean, the vast waters that covered 71% of the Earth are divided into geographically distinct regions.

The Names of Oceans in the World Map

Since ancient times, this vast body of water has been known as the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Indian and the Arctic. However, due to various geographical and scientific reasons, most countries now accept the Southern Ocean (Antarctic) as the fifth ocean basin. The Pacific Ocean is the largest of the five.

The Names of the  Continents In World Map

The names of the seven continents are Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, North America, South America and Antarctica.

Europe, along with Asia, covers an area of 10,180,000 square kilometres. Both are part of the same major landmass – the Ural Mountains and the Caspian Sea separate Europe from Asia. The continent comprises 50 independent countries and has a total population of 738849000.
